HYDERABAD: Job portals headcount in India is getting stronger by the day. The
rise, to some extent, has also fuelled a gap between employers and recruiting
firms. While job portals reduce the role of recruiting firms, here's one
web-based third party recruiter management system that promises to bring
employers and recruiter under a single platform. Recruitmentalliance.com, based
in West Palm Beach (USA), is set to launch its Indian operation christened
recruitmentallianceindia.com. The Indian version will be operated from Hyderabad.
Employers will have multiple options of recruiters to choose from. Ditto goes
for the recruiters. Once an employer posts a job order, registered recruiters
can submit their candidates. But not before agreeing to the terms and conditions
set by the employer. The recruiter gets paid only after the entire process is
over.
"This reduces unnecessary phone calls and decreases the time to hire. What is
important is the reach it provides," advocates T Chandra Sekhar Reddy,
director, recruitallianceindia.com.
Employers, who don't have to pay registration charges, post their terms and
condition on the website. The terms and conditions can be edited and updated
anytime by the employer. Each job requirement posted by the employer will be
featured for 90 days. Employers have the liberty to cancel the job posting or
increase its life beyond the 90 days period. "Canceling a job with job portals
is troublesome with job portals. But here one can cancel a job anytime without
bothering the recruiter,'' says Reddy.
If required, an employer can also block a particular recruiter.
The recruiters, on the other hand, are given a 30-day trial offer. To
continue being a member, recruiters have to pay a monthly fee of $ 50. However,
before having their membership activated, recruiters are put under the scanner.
"A lot of fresh recruiters can also enter the fray. We ensure the
reputation and genuineness of the recruiters before activating their
membership," explains Reddy.
"We had launched recruitalliance in the US in 2001. We have got good feedback
in the US. In India too, we are getting good responses with some employers
showing interest to join us,'' adds Reddy. The company's US operation has
3000 recruiters and 100 employers registered with it.
From the candidates' point of view, recruiters can post their star
candidate even if there's no job order matching the job seeker.
Currently recruitallianceindia is presenting demos to the employers. It also
plans to train HR professionals of the companies before they become members.
To start with the company is asking the companies interested to encourage its
recruiting firms to join recruitallianceindia.com. "This will give a good start,''
feels Reddy.
It is also targeting the recruiters who have offices in India. "About 3-5
percent of our recruiters in the US have offices in India and are looking for a
client base here. We are encouraging them to join us also in India. They are
also encouraged about our launch in India,'' says Reddy.
Speaking about the success chances in India, Reddy says, "It can also click
in India provided the recruiters honest and submit eligible candidates.''
According to Reddy, the company is getting membership queries from recruiters
in Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Punjab and Gujarat besides Hyderabad.
Reddy plans to approach the Executive Recruiters Association to bring in
membership for recruitallianceindia.com. To market its solution, sales executive
will also be roped in by recruitallianceindia.com.
