The software refresh adds a powerful component to Phoenix's consumer PC utilities tools site, eSupport.com, and expands the reach into the consumer market for the company's PC 3.0 strategy of providing products and services that eliminate complexity from a PC user's life, making the PC more fun and easy to use.

"Few things can ruin an otherwise positive PC user experience more than the pain and frustration of not being able to get back deleted pictures, important documents or entertainment files," said Woody Hobbs, president and CEO of Phoenix Technologies.

"Our PC 3.0 commitment to improving the end user experience for PC customers and providing products that make PCs more user-friendly, efficient and productive, includes providing tools for the myriad of mishaps consumers experience - like accidentally deleting a file!," he added.

Phoenix's new UndeletePlus expands the consumer's ability to retrieve files deleted, accidentally or otherwise, from PCs, flash drives, digital cameras or other digital storage devices with a more powerful solution.

Consumers can use UndeletePlus to rescue data files as well as graphics, music and videos. Phoenix has also upgraded the consumer interface so it is easier to maneuver and to identify and select files to be rescued.

To ease the process of locating the desired files, UndeletePlus generates file icons to simplify sorting by file type and will create additional views so consumers can sort by size, date modified and even parts of the file name, added the release.
