Recaero opens facility in Bangalore

BANGALORE: The France-based, Recaero Group, a manufacturer of aeronautical spare parts, launched its first facility at Bidadi, here today.

The new facility will supply parts to global aeronautical giants like Airbus, ATR and Snecma. With a working space of 10,000 square feet, the company plans to scale up its headcount from 20 employees to 150 employees.

Speaking on the occasion, Vinay Jha, chairman, Recaero India, said, “This launch is an important milestone as Recaero Group is committed to supply quality parts to cater to the rapidly rising needs of our customers. Encouraged by this steady increase in demand, we hope to double our operations by the end of 2008.”

“With India emerging as a strategic market for the leading aeronautical firms, it was logical for the Recaero Group to position itself in the Indian market. Through this facility, we aim to further optimize our development capabilities,” said Thierry Pobeau, chairman and CEO, Recaero Group.
