As the Internet increasingly represents a preferred media of choice for fans around the world to connect with sports, the www.IPLT20.com website becomes an extremely valuable media entity from a return on investment standpoint. Live Current secured digital media content, live streaming and mobile rights for an average of $5 million annually as compared to TV broadcast rights investments of over $1 billion for a 10-year contract.

The official IPL and BCCI sites have significant revenue margin opportunities based on the high value of online ad sales and sponsorship and low cost of customer acquisition to the site. Beyond the digital content agreement, there were no additional marketing expenditures required to attract the 50 million+ page views and consistently returning fans to the www.IPLT20.com website.

“Generating over 50 million page views without a single dollar of marketing investment clearly indicates the natural demand for, interest in and ease of access to the IPLT20.com site,” says Mark Melville, acting CEO of Cricket.com and Chief Corporate Development Officer, Live Current Media Inc. “Online sports media in general and cricket specifically offers the breadth and depth global fans seek through any-time interaction, enabling access to multiple layers of content, photos and video from any Internet connection, 24-hours a day for live or archived content.

Live Current plans to launch the official BCCI site www.bcci.tv in beta before the July 18, 2008 test match between India and Sri Lanka and global cricket site www.cricket.com in beta by August 2008.
