RCS ties up with Informix

BANGALORE, August 25: Bangalore based RCS

Education and Informix International Inc announced their strategic

education partnership. RCS has become the first Informix Authorized

Education Center (IAEC) in the Asia-Pacific region to conduct training on

the Informix Redbrick data warehouse (RDW) in India.

Informix has IAECs at Mumbai, Pune and

Hyderabad, but the Bangalore IAEC is the only one to offer RDW. The RDW

course will commence in September 1999 at the two RCS centers in Bangalore.

The course with duration of 25 days will cost about Rs 35,000.

RCS, which has two education centers at

Bangalore, plans to open one at Chennai in the next couple of months, said

Ranjit Singh, MD, RCS. In the next fiscal, RCS plans to open training

centers at Delhi, Mumbai and Calcutta. RCS has no plans to enter software

development and will continue to focus on software education in the future

he added.
