Speaking on the sidelines of an event, Kaushik Pillalamarri, senior vice president- Data and Devices, Reliance Communications,  said the tablet market has seen growth. “Now 40,000 tablets are being sold every month across various platforms, and Reliance contribution is significant,” he said.

“We are planning to introduce more devices in the market, and are working on a roadmap for smartphones and tablets," Pillalamarri informed. Data and VAS contributes 18 per cent to the company’s revenues, which he said would grow over a period of couple of years.

“As the festive season is round the corner, we’ll launch new products next month,” he said. Reliance also said that it’ll forge new relationships and launch attractive monthly data plans for tablets.
