RCom to bring mobile app store via RWorld

MUMBAI, INDIA: Reliance Communications, a provider of GSM and CDMA mobile services, announced that it would launch its mobile applications store, RWorld 2.0, in India accessible through its data portal RWorld.

The new RWorld 2.0 would be a 3G ready data portal.

The first version of the Reliance applications store would go live on GSM handsets as early as the month end. It would be launch an expanded version across CDMA as well as GSM handsets later this quarter.

RWorld 2.0 would be equipped with delivery platform supporting on-device portals, idle screens, widgets and RSS readers showcasing latest developments across the world.

Reliance Applications Store would allow customers to browse and download applications (paid/free) through a controlled environment.
