Ravichandran is TITA Prez, again

CHENNAI, INDIA:Post campaigning and fighting competition in the recently concluded elections in Tirupur IT Association (TITA), former President of the association K Ravichandran, CEO, Jyothi Agencies and Secretary K Babu, CEO, Apex Info Systems were re-elected as the new President and Secretary, respectively, for the second term.

The other office bearers of the association include K Vallinayagam, CEO, Computer Sales Center—Treasurer; P Arun, CEO, Primme Computer—VP; R Thiagaraaj, CEO, Attrib Systems—Joint Secretary. It may be noted that Vallinayagam was elected without any opposition. The new team would take charge from April 1, 2009.

Out of the 100 members 97 members voted in the election. Lauding the efforts of the election committee members who made this election a great success by bringing in huge strength of the dealers for voting, newly-elected President Ravichandran said that his team would complete the pending tasks like conducting expo in Tirupur.

“The first year was full of learning for us. We were able to work only for eight months due to the formation of the association, lack of experience and weren’t able to do anything practically. We will learn from the experience and complete the pending activities like training program and expo, which has been delayed due to various reasons,” Ravichandran claimed.

Echoing his thoughts, K Babu, Secretary, TITA said that the main agenda for the year would be conducting the IT expo in Tirupur successfully, which is proposed to happen in May 2009. Ravichandran also said that his team would work in an enhanced manner and get the association working before handing it over to the next team.

“We had only 40 members during the inception of the association, however today we have 104 members. With a good support and active participation from the channel community in Tirupur, we would like to bring the association in a good shape,” Ravichandran averred.

The executive committee members who were elected during the election includes L Ramesh, CEO Aar-tech; S Manikandhanathan, CEO, Blossom Systems; C Suresh Kumar, CEO, Blue Chip Computers; R Shivakumar, CEO, Hardcare Computer Forms; S Mahendra Prabhu, CEO, Hi Tech Computerss; Pratheesh Mathew, CEO, Phoenix Infoways; R Arunagiri, CEO, Softlinkk Computers; R Palanisamy, CEO, Universal Systems; K Karthick, CEO, Universys and A Sivaprakash, CEO, World Wide Systems.
