Ravi Shankar, Greg Blount join MindTree leadership team

BANGALORE, INDIA: MindTree Limited, a global IT and Product Engineering Services Company, today announced the appointments of Ravi Shankar as executive vice president and chief people officer and Greg Blount as senior vice president and head of US strategic accounts, said a press release.

''Addition of the leaders of the stature of Ravi and Greg is significant for MindTree in its journey to become a bigger, faster and better company that is closer to all its key stakeholders,'' said Krishnakumar Natarajan, CEO & MD, MindTree Limited.

Speaking on his appointment, Ravi Shankar said ''I have always admired the way MindTree has placed value in its people and beautifully embedded integrity policies and social responsibility in its culture. It will be my endeavor to introduce novel practices and make People Function, a reason for customers to choose MindTree.''

Ravi brings over three decades of HR experience to MindTree. He previously served as senior vice president - human resources at HCL Technologies and has held several senior positions in companies such as Deutsche Software Limited and Lister Technologies. An alumnus of XLRI, Ravi is an executive coach at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.

Greg Blount joins MindTree from TPI, where he was a partner in their Sourcing Strategy Practice and was responsible for driving their applications and IT Strategy engagements.Prior to TPI, Greg held numerous positions at several outsourcing and IT consultancies including EDS, BSG and Springbow Solutions.

Greg has co-authored a book titled ‘Offshore Ready: Strategies to Plan and Profit from Offshore IT-Enabled Services’.
