Ravi Chauhan named MD of Juniper India

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Juniper Networks India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Juniper Networks, Inc. today formally announced that Ravi Chauhan, former managing director of Nortel India, has been appointed managing director of Juniper's India and SAARC operations.

A veteran of 20 years in enterprise and service provider sales and marketing, Chauhan had also worked for four years as country manager for Cabletron Systems, prior to Nortel, said a press release.

“Juniper is very proud to service customers such as Government of Chhattisgarh and Sify Technologies and with India’s present wealth of opportunity in the networking space, it is time to boost our presence in this market,” said Brad Gray, vice president of Asia South, Juniper Networks, while announcing the appointment of Chauhan.

He said Ravi’s job will be to understand Juniper's Indian customers’ needs and to help them build the high-performance networks their businesses need today.

“Juniper has gained a lot of success and traction in India, while the push towards high performance networking is driving demand for more robust security and networking equipment in enterprises and leading service providers. With the appointment of Ravi, we are now in a better position to grow this footprint further,” added Brad Gray.

Ravi Chauhan holds a bachelor of engineering, electronics and communications from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala and a post graduate diploma in business management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad.
