IBM said in a media statement that the event presents an opportunity for Indian software professionals/developers to learn about business-driven development strategies and technologies to help organizations more effectively anticipate the needs of their customers, gain a competitive advantage, and respond to the fluctuations of the global market place.

A calendar event in the US, RSDC has served as a platform for developers passionate about software to connect with their peers in the global developer community and industry thought leaders. With India slated to experience one of the highest growth in professional software developers between 2003 and 2008, IBM is now extending this event in the ASEAN region for the first time, to bring the same experience to India.

The event's agenda covers inspiring keynote sessions and presentations by industry leaders such as Lee Nackman, CTO and Rational software evangelist and IBM's additional experts on software leadership and application development directions.

Providing a client-based perspective, R Gopalakrishnan - COO Infosys Technologies and K. Ananth Krishnan, vice president, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd will be part of the keynote speeches to give their perspective on adopting and utilizing the latest application development tools.

RSDC Bangalore has a special session for Introduction to the Rational Software Development Platform - a track that introduces new users to IBM's integrated tools and services based on the open Eclipse framework and closely aligns business, development and operations, enabling teams to identify and work towards a shared set of business goals.
