BANGALORE: Bangalore based Rational Software Corporation India Pvt. Ltd. has
announced today its collaboration with Asset International, the technology
training arm of Aptech Ltd., to conduct Rational Training courses in India.
M K Bharatee, country manager, Rational Software, India, said, "Rational
provides a platform for software development that speeds time-to-market while
improving software quality. This integrated, full life cycle solution combines
software engineering best practices, market leading tools and professional
services to help organizations develop and deploy software. With a tie-up with
Asset, we would focus more on corporate training to facilitate employees with
upgraded technology knowledge."
Under the terms of the collaboration, Asset International would be a
"Rational Authorized Training Partner" and would offer training
courses on Rational Best Practices, Tools and Methodologies such as requirements
management, object-orientated analysis and design, functional and performance
testing, unified change management etc.
Ravi Dighe, vice president, Asset International, said, "Under the
collaboration, Asset’s faculty will be trained and certified by Rational
Software. The courses designed by them will be offered by Asset at all the
centers in India and would be aimed at the software developer community."
Dighe expects to address about 5 lakh software developers in the country
through this tie-up and said that the "slowdown has provided the right
opportunity to train these IT professionals because layoffs are happening and
there are a lot of these professionals finding idle time."
The course would run for five days and would cost approximately Rs 25,000.
