BANGALORE: Rational Software has acquired NeuVis, Inc., of Shelton, Connecticut, a technology provider of n-tier application development software. The privately held company was founded by Arun Gupta and Rajiv Uppal in 1999. A total of 26 former NeuVis employees have joined Rational and will play a key role in Rational’s strategy to help its enterprise IT customers build business applications.
NeuVis flagship product is a model-driven application development tool for creating agile, enterprise-class, n-tier applications that support Rational’s existing product line. "We’re very excited to welcome the NeuVis team to Rational. They are a world-class team with excellent technology," said Mike Devlin, CEO and co-founder of Rational Software. "We see the addition of the NeuVis technology as a strong complement to our strategy to support the major industry IDEs, such as those from Microsoft and IBM", he added.
