Ratan Tata to get Global Indian Award 2008

MUMBAI, INDIA: Nasscom will confer Tata Group chairman Ratan N. Tata with the Global Indian Award 2008, on the second day of the Nasscom 2008 India Leadership Forum, scheduled to commence tomorrow in Mumbai.

Ravi Kant, managing director, Tata Motors will accept the award on behalf of Ratan N. Tata.

The Business Leader Award 2008 will go to Cisco chairman John Chambers while Willie Walsh, CEO, British Airways, will get the Business Transformation Award, said Nasscom in an announcement.

Praful Patel, union minister of Aviation and Maharashtra chief minister, Vilas Rao Deshmukh will felicitate the winners of the fourth Nasscom Global Leadership Awards 2008.
