The thick bound ‘Rashi Retail Catalog’ is an attempt by the company to ensure that its retailers can show end-customers the various off-the-shelf products it distributes.

“Often retailers are unable to give technical specifications of some retail products like keyboard or USB storage devices. They might also not be aware of its availability and its features compare with other brands. With a ready reckoner like the catalog, they can simply show the products to the customers, who can then rifle through the pages and check on other models available in that price range as well,” said Kapal Pansari, Director—Marketing, Rashi Peripherals.

Each catalog is estimated to have cost the distributor Rs 1,000, but it is currently being provided free to retail channel. Pansari added that this initiative has been undertaken to make its retail channel network more structured and organized.

Currently two percent of Rashi’s business comes from retail, but it expects this contribution to go up this fiscal as more retailers sign up with it.
