Rangu Salgame quits Tejas

BANGALORE, INDIA: Rangu Salgame, who joined Tejas Networks as president in October 2007, has quit after just four months of stint in the company.

Before joining Tejas, he was serving as president of Cisco Systems, India and SAARC, for over four years.

Confirming the same to CyberMedia News Siva Ramamorthy, head of marketing, Tejas Network said, “The fact is Salgame is not with Tejas anymore. We are not aware of his next steps. And there are no specific reasons for him to leave Tejas.”

He added that though Salgame has left Tejas, the company would go ahead with its growth plans and continue to grow its revenues.

Regarding Salgame replacement, he said: “We have not yet decided. The board has to take decision on that.”

Salgame is an entrepreneurial business leader with over two decade of experience. He has extensively worked with private and public capital markets in the US, Europe and Asia.

He holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, engineering degrees from Virginia Tech and MS University of Baroda, India.
