Features: Consumer electronics major Samsung India,

has announced its plans to strengthen its digital products portfolio comprising

Digital Still Cameras, Digital Camcorders and MP3 players in the Indian market.






The YP-D1, is the world's first MP3 player with camera, Samsung said in the
press conference.

Samsung are planning to strengthen the Flat television range by launching new

sound oriented models in the 21 inch and the 29 inch screen size segment this

month. The new models would have sound output of 600W and 1200W PMPO. Noida-based

Samsung India R&D Center has designed and developed these products

exclusively for the Indian market. The company is aiming to sell 1.8 million

CTVs in the Indian market across flat or slim fit and flat panel categories this

year.






Samsung is coming up with various strategies including the normal retailing to
promote the MP3 product in the market. It is planning to organize carnivals in

schools, or setting-up music rooms in BPO's for demo, touch and feel.
