Features: Apple unveiled eight new products in the
Indian market. The new products are: iMac, iPod Radio Remote, Mac Mini, iPod Hi-Fi,.iLife'06,
MacBook, iWork'06 and GB iPod nano.
The iMac design features dual-core processors, a built-in iSight video camera
for video conferencing, and the media experience of Front Row with the Apple
Remote. Every new iMac comes with iLife '06, the next generation of Apple's
suite of digital lifestyle applications featuring major new versions of iPhoto,
iMovie HD, iDVD, GarageBand and introducing iWeb, a new iLife application that
helps create websites with photos, blogs and Podcasts and publish them on .Mac.
It is the first of a new generation of Macs featuring Intel processors that
Apple will roll out during 2006.
The iPod Radio Remote combines a wired remote control with
new FM radio capabilities for the iPod nano and fifth generation iPod. The iPod
Radio Remote has provision to skip tracks and adjust the volume of iPod even
when it is in a pocket or backpack, and listen to FM radio stations while
displaying station and song information on iPod screen. It comes with the Intel
Core Duo processor, delivering performance up to four times faster than its
predecessor.
iPod Hi-Fi is a high-fidelity speaker system that works with the iPod. Apple
claimed that iPod Hi-Fi delivers breathtaking acoustic performance and
room-filling sound unlike any other speaker system designed for the iPod in an
innovative, all-in-one design that can be powered from a wall socket or by six
D-cell batteries. The Apple Remote controls it.
iLife '06 is the most significant upgrade to Apple's suite
of digital lifestyle applications. iLife '06 features iPhoto 6 with blazing
performance, new printed books, calendars and cards, and Apple's innovative new
Photocasting for sharing photos over the Internet. iMovie HD 6 with new motion
themes for adding spectacular production value to your movies; iDVD 6 for
authoring custom DVDs for today's widescreen TVs; and GarageBand 3, for creating
professional-quality Podcasts.
MacBook Pro notebook computer featuring the new Intel Core Duo processor
delivers up to four times the performance of the PowerBook G4. The new MacBook
Pro, the first Mac notebook based on an Intel processor, features an one inch
thin aluminum enclosure, weighs 5.6 pounds, includes a built-in iSight video
camera for video conferencing on-the-go, and the Apple Remote and Front Row
software.
iWork '06, a new version of Apple's suite of productivity software, has new
features designed to make it easy for users to create even more compelling
documents and presentations. iWork '06 includes major enhancements within Pages
2 and Keynote 3 including three-dimensional charts, iPhoto-like advanced image
editing and masking tools, and spreadsheet-like tables.
The New 1GB iPod nano offers the same features as the 2GB and 4GB iPod nano
models and holds up to 240 songs or 15,000 photos. The new 1GB iPod nano's
ultra-portable design is thinner than a #2 pencil and features Apple's patent
pending Click Wheel.
