BANGALORE, INDIA: Red Hat, Inc., provider of open source solutions has announced that Rancore Technologies, a technology R&D firm has won the Outstanding Open Source Architecture award in the fifth annual Red Hat and JBoss Innovation Awards.
Red Hat and JBoss Innovation Awards finalists were recognized at the 2011 Summit and JBoss World in four separate categories; and a fifth category recognized a finalist that was deploying a combined solution from Red Hat's platform and middleware portfolios.
“This year, the Innovation Award submissions truly were groundbreaking, and I was extremely impressed to hear directly from our customers and partners about how they are leveraging open source technology to gain value, reduce costs and increase performance,” said Lee Congdon, CIO at Red Hat and a 2011 Innovation Awards judge.
Congdon added, “I was excited to review submissions by leading organizations from around the world that are utilizing new virtualization and cloud architectures to gain a competitive advantage; and it was impressive to learn how these companies are forging new ground in the world of IT with Red Hat technology.”
From the finalists, Rancore Technologies was selected as the 2011 JBoss Innovator of the Year and Santos Limited was selected as the 2011 Red Hat Innovator of the Year via online voting and announced during the Red Hat Summit and JBoss World in Boston on May 6, 2011.
