LOS ANGELES: Rambus Inc., a technology licensing company, on Tuesday announced that it has agreed to let Toshiba Corp., a Japan-based electronic devices and components maker, license its memory chip controller patents for another five years renewing an existing pact.
Rambus would receive royalty payments based on Toshiba's shipments of a plethora of memory chips that license its technology patents, said a news report.
Toshiba was one of Rambus' first licensees.
