Ramana Reddy tipped to be Karnataka IT secy

BANGALORE: E.V.Ramana Reddy, the erstwhile Director of IT, Government of Karnataka, is tipped to fill the post of the Secretary to Government of Karnataka, Department of IT and Biotechnology. Reddy, along with Rajeev Chawla, was in the race for filling IT secretary's position after the suddent exit of Vivek Kulkarni. The earlier IT secy, Vivek Kulkarni, retired from service opting for a Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS).

According to sources, Ramana Reddy has now emerged as person who will take up the position of the Secretary to Government of Karnataka, Department of IT and Biotechnology.

With the city's annual IT extravaganza, BangaloreIT.com just around the corner, filing in the IT Secretary position becomes a priority for the government as the event is spearheaded by the Department of IT and its chief. "A decision will soon be taken in view of the forthcoming BangaloreIT.com," promised D.B.Inamdar, Minister of State for IT and Tourism, Government of Karnataka.
