Ramalinga Raju's brother, 4 others get bail

HYDERABAD, INDIA: Andhra Pradesh High Court today granted bail to B Rama Raju, former managing director of Satyam and brother of Satyam scam accused B. Ramalinga Raju, former chief financial officer Vadlamani Srinivas and three others accused in the Satyam scam.

The others who got bail are former Satyam employees G Ramakrishna, Venkatapathi Raju and Ch Srisailam. With this, all Satyam accused except B Ramalinga Raju have got bails from various courts on different occasions.

The biggest ever corporate scam that had hit the headlines in 2009, had raised major questions about corporate governance, and the case is investigated by the CBI.

Raju had shocked corporate India in January last year by admitting to a Rs.7,800 crore accounting fraud in the IT major. He and nine other accused including top company officials and auditors were arrested in the case.
