Ram Informatics in Chennai

Ram Informatics Ltd., a Hyderabad-based

software developer and training company, is opening a training center in

Chennai, to offer e-commerce courses. The company is the authorized

training partner for IBM Global Services, with IBM certified study

materials and staff. The course, which will commence in October, will be

for a duration of 45 days, with a fee of Rs 1000 per day. Each batch will

comprise 10-20 students, with 50 terminals provided at the center. Ram

Informatics Executive Director PS Venkateswaran said, "Since there

will be online classes conducted, we have restricted the number of

students."

The 3000 sqft center will act as the research and development division

for the company, which will be involved in developing ecommerce products.

Ram Informatics is also the value service partner of Oracle, with whom

other training courses will be provided.

The company, which opened a branch at US as well, is also opening 2

other training centers at Hyderabad. A total investment of Rs 2.7 crore

was made for all three centers, with Rs 70 lakh being pumped in for the

Chennai center. "We are also planning to open divisions in Bangalore,

Vizag and Coimbatore within the next one year," said Venkateswaran.

The company is basically involved in client/server and Internet

technology. It has developed software products like SmartBanker, a banking

package, AiM, an insurance package, ShareTrak, a shares accounting system

and DepositTrak, a fixed deposit software etc. Some of its clients are

Enadu TV, Andra Pradesh Pollution Control Board, Shakti LPG etc. Ram

Informatics has developed telecom projects in UK as well.
