Known as mobile reservation parlance, this service would be available from 12.30 pm to 11:30 pm everyday.

A virtual copy of the passenger’s ticket and a valid photo identity will be enough while travelling. A passenger has to simply take a screen shot of the ticket and paste it on the screen of a laptop, palmtop or I-pad and show it to the ticket checker while travelling.
Railway commuters have long been demanding a separate e-ticketing service for them, as they felt that the IRCTC platform was misused by travel agents who, the passengers claim, have an upper hand in online booking.
Two weeks ago, the Railways had announced the launch of a new web service exclusively for individual users, after passengers complained of the misuse of the IRCTC website by agents.
