Railway website to be revamped

NEW DELHI, INDIA: The minister for railways, Dinesh Trivedi, has announced that the ministry will revamp the IRCTC website. Trivedi also informed that the ministry will talk to UID chief Nandan Nilekani in order to facilitate railways with Aadhaar data.

However, the project details are yet to be ascertained but the ministry said that it will execute it within few weeks. The IRCTC website is one of the most popular portals and is being accessed to book tickets online.

The Railways Ministry also said that it will install CCTV cameras for surveillance at the tatkal ticket booking counters to curb the ticket menace due to middlemen who procure bulk tickets.
