Railway recruitment 2019 is being carried out as of now, and engineers can apply online for as many as 50 vacancies. The recruitment is being carried out for Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), an Autonomous Organization under the Ministry of Railways, which has offices in New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, and Secunderabad. Selected candidates would be eligible for a salary of Rs 44,900.

Who can Apply for the Railway Recruitment 2019?

As per the official notification issued on the CRIS website, the railway recruitment 2019 is being carried out for 50 positions of Assistant Software Engineers (ASE). Candidates with the following degrees are eligible to apply: BE, or BTech in computer science and engineering; or computer science or computer technology; or information technology or computer science and information technology or computer applications; or MCA or BSc (computer science – 4 year degree course). Relevant Degree from an AICTE or UGC recognized institute, or equivalent qualification as per Government of India rules, with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (55% for SC/ST/PWD candidates); and GATE Scores as specified. Candidates with ME/MTech in computer science and engineering can also apply provided they possess the required GATE 2019 scores.

Only, candidates possessing a valid GATE 2019 score along with the prescribed qualifications are eligible to apply for the railway recruitment 2019.

How to Apply for the Railway Recruitment 2019?

The only mode of application is online on the official CRIS website. Candidates need to first register with the CRIS website, and then apply for the ASE positions. The detailed instructions for filling the online application are available on the ‘Instruction Page’ of the CRIS website. Candidates are also required to pay an application fee of Rs 1000 plus 18% GST as well as bank charges for general, OBC-NCL candidates. However, there is no application fee for SC, ST, PWD and women candidates. Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before making any entry or selecting options for the railway recruitment 2019, says the CRIS website. The online registrations for the posts have already begun, and the last date to apply is 9 August 2019 up to 11:45 pm.
