R Srinivasan joins HCL Tech Board

NOIDA, INDIA: IT services major HCL Technologies, which posted a better-than-expected quarterly profit on Wednesday announced that R. Srinivasan has been appointed as additional director on the Board of HCL Technologies.

Srinivasan, founder, managing director of Redington (India) Limited and current chairman of SSN Institutions joins eight other distinguished members of HCL's Board of Directors, said a press release.

Prior to starting Redington in Singapore, Srinivasan worked in Indonesia with a leading textile company. Srinivasan’s experience also includes long stints at Readers Digest and the Coco-Cola Corporation in India. Currently he sits on the Boards of Arena (a listed company in Turkey) and Easyaccess Financial Services (a Non-Banking Finance Company in India).

Srinivasan holds an Electrical Engineering Degree from Madras University in India and an MBA degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad.

R Srinivasan’s appointment will be effective April 19th, 2011.
