BANGALORE, INDIA: Swiss cabling company R&M has launched R&Mfoxs, an FTTH solution, at the 37th European Conference for Optic Communication, the ECOC 2011 in Geneva.
R&Mfoxs is a fiber optic cross connection system from Reichle & De-Massari.
R&M also launched a new FTTH microsite for FTTH topologies and architectural information.
This modular programme (R&Mfoxs) for passive network technology covers all levels of modern broadband infrastructures from data centre and main distributor to the feeder, drop and access area and beyond to FO outlets, claims the company in a release.
The program is based on SCM, the single circuit management system developed by R&M. It features splice trays for managing individual fibers and subscribers.
Gaurav Ahluwalia, managing director, R&M India, says "Network operators need flexible, scalable systems with a high packing density that can be individually adapted to any market and site situation. R&Mfoxs is just the answer to these requisites."
R&Mfoxs supports hybrid cabling. That means network operators can use copper and FO infrastructures concurrently and implement fiber to the home gradually as required.
The distributor and tray technology developed by R&M functions on all network levels with a bending radius of R40, , adds the company.
