Quest intros new desktop virtualization solution

BANGALORE, INDIA: Quest Software Inc. announced the availability of Quest vWorkspace 7.2, a new version of its desktop virtualization solution. The solutions features a new installer and Quick Start Wizard, PowerShell support.

The company claims that the vWorkspace 7.2 provides enterprise-class features to ensure adoption and integration with other management systems, as well as easier management and tracking of administrator and user activity.

“Our development team took a fresh approach to how we walk the administrator through the steps needed to set up a desktop virtualization infrastructure,” said Simon Pearce, vice president and general manager, Desktop Virtualization Group, Quest Software. “With vWorkspace 7.2, we have reduced the number of actions required to deliver a working proof of concept or pilot installation by over 80 percent."

"Set-up of the core elements of vWorkspace can be done in less than 10 minutes. Together with our PowerShell interface and expanded management capabilities, vWorkspace 7.2 demonstrates that we are committed to simplifying desktop virtualization for organizations of all sizes,” he added.
