BANGALORE, INDIA: BLUE LION mobile GmbH, based in Cologne, Germany today announced the official launch of its services in India for its flagship product ‘qeep’ - a social networking software developed on Java for mobile phones.

qeep can be downloaded for free and installed on mobile phones enabling users to stay in contact with their friends from any place at any time and make new acquaintances all around the world, said a press release.

Private messaging, photo-blogging, live multi-player gaming and sound attacks are some of the features offered by qeep to entertain its users.

“We are very happy to officially start our services in India. Already, India contributes to 20 per cent of the 300,000 members in qeep. We are confident that in the next three months the percentage will rise significantly,” said Cornelius Rost and Christian Schulte the two founders and developers of qeep, in a joint statement.

The whole essence of qeep is to build a global community of like-minded people who can be in touch 24 x 7, they said.

“It's an international community that has no barriers and borders. Currently there are people from 160 countries and over 3,000 people joining everyday worldwide.”

Users need to install and run the application on their mobile devices and log-in into the qeep network. qeep has no subscription or fee associated with it, the release said.
