QAI to host International Software Estimation Colloquium

BANGALORE, INDIA:  QAI's annual international Software Estimation Colloquium (SEC 2007) will be held here next month. A one-day event, scheduled on Aug 3, is a unique forum for exchanging, learning, and accelerating implementation of best practices in the domain of Software Estimation.

The purpose of SEC 2007 is to promote the existence, implementation, and importance of the required essentials for achieving market leadership and performance excellence for the project and the organization, with a focus on the estimation practices.



"For over 15 years, QAI has gathered international practitioners, representatives and recognized thought-leaders from the industry, academia and the Government to share information, learn new software quality processes, and discuss software practices through a number of prestigious events," says Navyug Mohnot, CEO, QAI.



The highlights of the conference include keynote sessions by industry leaders and it aims to exhibit, showcase, provide information on how organizations are improving their project management practices, including metrics, methods and techniques. In this direction, SEC 2007 brings together practitioners and thought leaders from industry, academia and government for sharing, exchanging ideas and learning in the area of Software Estimation.



QAI has also created the Estimation Leadership Awards which recognize leadership and contribution in the field of software estimation. It encourages breakthrough achievements and innovative approaches in the estimation and economic process that aim to make successful products and services in the IT Industry. It also aims to bring long-term improvements and recognition to the Estimation / Project Management professionals across the industry.
