PwC, Vignette to help build online businesses

NEW DELHI: PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Vignette have entered into an alliance to address the complex marketplace demands that companies are likely to experience while creating a successful, dynamic online business. The relationship combines Vignette's Relationship Commerce platform with PricewaterhouseCoopers' proven experience in customer relationship management (CRM), e-business strategy, and process and technology consulting.

"Online commerce is about creating online customer relationships, a critical component in e-business strategy, specially in India which is poised to take major strides in e-business," said Roopen Roy, MCS (Management Consulting Services) head, PricewaterhouseCoopers India. By drawing on the organization's ability to create, understand and proactively manage customer relationships on the web, Vignette and PricewaterhouseCoopers India aims to help clients build long-term e-business solutions that give them a competitive advantage in their industry.

The relationship also extends to India. And as part of the agreement, PwC India will be a preferred systems integrator of Vignette's products in this region. PwC will train more



than 50 engineers in India on Vignette's products over the next year. PwC has also established three Vignette competency centers in Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Rosemont IL, with plans to roll out more centers in the U.S. and in other parts of the world including India, this year. The initial focus will be to create vertical solution sets for the high



technology, retail, financial services, telecommunications and entertainment industries.
