The company registered seven percent increase in revenue to $180.3 million from $168.4 million for the same period last year. PTC said the growth was driven by strength in North America and Europe, and its consulting and training services worldwide.

Net income for the third quarter was $26.7 million, or $0.10 per diluted share, compared with net income of $16.1 million, or $0.06 per diluted share, in the year-ago period.

The third quarter net income includes an income tax benefit of $4.4 million due to the favorable resolution of a foreign jurisdiction tax audit. Excluding this benefit, PTC's third quarter net income was $22.3 million, or $0.08 per diluted share.
