Progeon rechristened Infosys BPO

NEW DELHI: Progeon Ltd, the business process outsourcing subsidiary of Infosys Technologies Ltd, has been renamed Infosys BPO Ltd, effective from 29 August 2006.

“The new name accurately reflects our heritage and line of business,” said Amitabh Chaudhry, CEO and managing director, Infosys BPO Ltd. “Our customers, employees, partners, and other stakeholders have always known us to be an integral part of the Infosys group. The new name simply reinforces that message.”

Over the next few weeks, the Progeon logo, website, e-mail addressees and marketing collateral templates will be replaced by those of Infosys.

Nandan M. Nilekani, CEO and managing director, Infosys Technologies Ltd, said, “The Infosys brand represents a promise to our clients that we enable them to compete in a flat world. Infosys BPO strengthens that promise by enabling our clients to work with one integrated brand for consulting, technology and process outsourcing.”
