Association: The Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI)
The Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) is a State level apex trade body in Karnataka, founded by Bharat Ratna, Sir M. Visvesvaraya in 1916. Its objective was also to afford the merchants an opportunity of personal service and jointly deliberation and action concerning the larger issues pertaining to Industry, Trade and Commerce.
The FKCCI has a membership of about 2400 drawn from all sectors of the industry, trade and services, spread over the entire State of Karnataka. The members are categorized into the Manufacturers, Knowledge-based profession, Service and Trade categories. About 135 District level and local Chambers of Commerce and Industry Associations are affiliated to the FKCCI.

OBJECTIVES:
- To act as a spokesman for business and industry in the State.

To provide a forum of businessmen to discuss and deliberate on all issues affecting the general interests.

To continuously interact and work with Government in resolving the various problems those arise from time to time in the business and economic spheres.

To build up and disseminate information on business and the economy to its members and the community in general.

To organize seminars/workshops/symposia, training programs, etc., on subjects of tropical interests for the benefit of members and the general public.

To provide a forum for business missions from abroad for developing bilateral trade / multilateral trade with foreign countries and to sponsor business missions to other countries from time to time.

To organize studies from time to time in different areas, those have a bearing on Trade, Commerce and Industry.

To set up exhibitions, trade shows, buyer-seller meets, catalogue shows and the like for the benefit of members and the State.

Promotion of international trade through meetings with visiting foreign business delegations, participation in Trade Fairs / Exhibitions and business delegations abroad.

Expert advice on diverse subjects such as industrial growth, monetary and fiscal policy, exchange rate policy, economic planning, taxation and corporate laws.

Generating awareness and gathering public support regarding specific aspects of business for overall business development.

Platform to interact and gain professional knowledge through seminars, workshops and round table meetings.

Participation in the Expert Committees of FKCCI. The Federation has more than 30 Expert Committees, which regularly take up issues of its Members’ interests in various fields with the policy makers.

Redressal of general / common problems of Members at Central / State Government levels and other Institutions.

Information Services to Entrepreneurs setting up new projects and technological up gradation.
