The REA has been recognized as an accredited representative body of Small Scale Industries of Rajkot. The Association has established a good rapport with various authorities of State and Central Government and It has representation of various Advisory committees and technical Institutions.
Some of the specific matters achieved during the beginning of 1998-99 In case of SSI Sector are Enhancement of Central Excise Exemption limit from Rs. 30 Lac to Rs. 50 Lac, exemption from filing of yearly declaration upto Rs. 40 Lac turn over from Central Government as well as reduction of sales tax In diesel engine & parts from 6% to 4%, Hydraulic Jack for tractor trailer from 12% to 40% from State Government.

The Association publishes a monthly Bulletin since June 1977 under Registration No. 11176/67 and has ever since provided detailed statistics and reliable Information on foreign and domestic Industries, development In technical know-how, now markets and economic and financial news. REA also publishes the directory of the registered members every 2 or 3 years.
Rajkot Engineering Association is helping to its members for every manufacturing activity and simultaneously with a view to perform its social liabilities towards society, Rajkot Engineering Association Charitable Trust is established in the year of 1991. Presently it has a total of 1116 members.
With this aim REA Charitable Trust is engaged in noble cause of humanitarian ground. Trust is helping to needy people for medical aid, hospitalization expenditure reimbursement, arranging blood donation camp, etc.
At the time of natural calamities to face and to overcome the situation, of flood, Tsunami, earthquake, Trust helps it out by way of cash donation, helping for rehabilitation.

Also for the betterment of society actively participating in celebration of Republic day and giving support for traffic warden to local body. The Trust had given Fixed Deposit Receipt of certain amount to the widows of Kargil martyr.
