Prodapt acquires US IT firm PCT

CHENNAI, INDIA: Prodapt, a telecom software services company based in Chennai, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Pacific Crest Technology (PCT), based in Oregon (USA).

With this acquisition, Prodapt would enhance its offerings and establishe itself as a leading software services provider to the telecommunications industry, said a press release.

PCT has revenues around $17.2 million (approx Rs 80 crore). The all cash deal, which gives Prodapt a 100 per cent stake in PCT, expands the company's base in the North American market and it will be consolidating its US operations under PCT.

PCT shall be renamed as Prodapt North America with Kerry Padrick, CEO of PCT, serving as the president of Prodapt North America.

Vedant Jhaver, CEO of Prodapt said, “Prodapt has worked with Pacific Crest Technology for over 4 years, delivering software services to large telecom operators. Over these years we have built a strategic partnership between the companies for the US market. PCT has a highly experienced team with deep telecom skills. Our combined clients now include several Fortune 500 telecom operators.”

He added that this consolidation would strengthen our delivery capabilities for both wireline and wireless operators; especially around areas of the telecom OSS/BSS stack.
