Pramati, IIIT-H in pact for tech lab

HYDERABAD: Pramati Technologies and the International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT-H) have signed an MoU to set up a middleware technology lab and collaborate in development of JavaT technology solutions. Chandra Babu Naidu, Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh presided over the signing of the MoU between the two organizations.



Pramati will jointly address consulting opportunities with companies that approach IIIT-H for design and development of niche Internet and mobile solutions. Through a seed grant of $100,000 to IIIT-H in the form of multiple licenses of Pramati Server and Pramati Studio products, as well as support and consulting, Pramati will assist high technology startup companies incubated at IIIT-H.



Pramati will strongly leverage its relationships with US and European industry, as well as MIT Massachusetts, Open US University and University of Muenster (Germany) and Tsinghua University (China) to strengthen IIIT-H's position of business relevance. Pramati has an ongoing training and consulting programs with IIIT of Bangalore. Pramati is a middleware software vendor emerging as a strong alternative to IBM, Oracle and BEA Systems in the application server and tools markets across US, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Recently the company became the first J2EE Server product vendor in the world to win the J2EET 1.3 Compatibility Brand from Sun Microsystems, ahead of industry majors like IBM, BEA and Oracle.
