Pradeep Nair is Autodesk India's MD

BANGALORE, INDIA: Autodesk, Inc. today announced the appointment of Pradeep Nair as managing director for its India and SAARC operations, said a press release.

In this role, Nair will be responsible for the overall strategy and growth of Autodesk's business across India and SAARC region, covering all of the company's industries and product segments.

Nair has proven experience in leading and managing sales, channels, marketing and technical teams, driving double-digit growth and ensuring consistent client satisfaction, said the press release.

Prior to joining Autodesk, Nair worked at IBM Software Group (SWG), where he was heading IBM's software business for India and South Asia as the director of SWG. He also led IBM's Developer Relations and Academic Initiatives.

Commenting on the appointment, Patrick Williams, Autodesk senior vice president of Asia Pacific and emerging markets, said, ''On behalf of Autodesk, I welcome Pradeep Nair to the company. India is one of our key markets and we look forward to continued growth and success under Pradeep's leadership.''

Sharing his early thoughts upon joining Autodesk, Nair said, ''As Indian companies step up to the world stage, design is increasingly critical to their success. Autodesk, with its strong legacy and continued advancements in design technology, is uniquely positioned to help our clients on this journey. I am excited to be leading Autodesk in this market at this time - helping our clients leverage the transformational power of design.''

Nair is an engineer from the University of Bombay and an alumnus of IIM Calcutta.
