in India, was launched in Chennai. The portal will cater to the needs of
lawyers, chartered accountants, tax practitioners, tax administrators,
corporate, company secretaries and students of law. It also features the
complete text of case law, acts, rules, schedules of direct taxes, indirect
taxes, Company law and Labor law as well as the procedural aspects of these laws
with search features and hyperlinks.
Taxlawsonline is associated with publishers of journals and books in the
industry such as Company Law Institute of India, Commercial Laws of India and
Laws of India and will use the data in its portal.
At the site, the complete library of income-tax reports, sales tax cases,
company cases and factories journal reports are available for perusal. It has a
section dedicated to procedures involved in Income-tax, Sales Tax, Customs and
Excise Law, Company Law and Labor Law, which include a set of draft resolutions,
documents, notices, forms, etc in addition to tips for procedural compliance and
support services for completing procedural formalities and filing them.
Potential users can subscribe to the site for 100 hours for a fee of Rs 2,500
for a year.
"Surveys have shown that the profitable industry in e-commerce is the
information industry and we are in it. We would be investing Rs 50 lakh in the
venture in the next two years. We intend to have about 500 subscribers at the
