Porn hits China cellphones again

BEIJING,CHINA: Chinese surfing the Internet via mobile phones are suddenly seeing porn images creeping back into their devices again.

A recent report from the Internet information safety group, Chinese Academy of Sciences, stated that the porn pages are getting 12.5 millions hits a day..

"I don't know why porn pages can be seen again," quoted China Daily, Zeng Hai, a 17-year-old high school student in Guangdong province as saying.

Zeng said some of his classmates also discovered that pornographic websites that were previously blocked were accessible again.

From December 2009, China started shutting down all the porn sites and by March almost 1,40,000 sites were shut.
As per the report, 76 mobile websites were found with lewd content from a sample of 1,000 sites from May 21 to 27.

Among the illegal websites, 14 were registered before this year, six this January and two in February. The number jumped to 22 in March and 18 in April.
