Polycom’s integration efforts with these leading platform providers support Polycom’s Open Collaboration Network strategy for delivering open and interoperable conferencing and collaboration solutions that provide customers with greater flexibility and investment protection within their UC environments.

By working with the leading Unified Communications platform providers, Polycom is able to deliver its productivity-enhancing and cost-saving telepresence, video and voice collaboration products as an integrated part of core UC environments – making the technologies easily accessible to end users in their daily workflows, and easy for IT organizations to deploy and manage, said a press release.

The Open Collaboration Network strategy avoids the need for organizations to ‘rip-and-replace’ existing IT investments, in order to achieve significant competitive advantage from telepresence, video and voice collaboration solutions.

“Polycom is the leading independent vendor of voice, video and HD telepresence solutions and services that enable dispersed work teams to easily meet using whatever Unified Communications device they choose,” said Hansjoerg Wagner, Vice President and Managing Director for Polycom Asia Pacific.

“By enabling people to communicate anywhere, anytime, Polycom’s solutions maximise team productivity and accelerate decision-making – helping Polycom customers to achieve a significant competitive advantage,” he added.

Wagner further said that Polycom is the partner of choice for leading Unified Communications (UC) and networking solutions providers because Polycom offers an open, platform-agnostic approach to collaboration. Polycom sees that continuing to strengthen our relationships with these leading players in the Unified Communications ecosystem will help to drive mainstream video adoption within two to three years.
