Polaris selects Verizon as new partner

MUMBAI, INDIA: Polaris Software Lab,a provider in IT services, announced on Monday that it has selected Verizon Business to streamline the company's global sites and enhance business communications.

The Verizon private IP would be rolled out across Polaris Software Lab's global network to provide a secure, resilient foundation that offers reliability and flexibility, said a press release.

In addition, the multiprotocol-label-switching (MPLS) based service could be easily scaled to support the company's ongoing global expansion plans, it added.

The company plans to achieve significant cost and management efficiencies, as well as enhanced redundancy and resilience.

Verizon Private IP -- a network-based, virtual private network (VPN), offers customers secure, scalable and flexible network connections with integrated performance- and traffic-management capabilities.

It would not only support the fast and efficient addition of new sites as the company expands, but also provide the capacity for future IP-based conferencing and unified communications solutions to enhance global collaboration.

V. Balakrishnan,chief information officer, Polaris Software Lab's, said, " We needed a communications platform that would essentially future-proof our business in terms of both geographical expansion and technical capabilities.”
