NEW DELHI: US-based CTG, an international IT services company and Polaris Software Lab Ltd have announced that they have entered into a strategic alliance to support banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) clients in the US and Europe.

According to the press release, the alliance combines CTG's expertise in delivering large-scale, comprehensive IT outsourcing services to BFSI clients in the US and Europe with Polaris Software's extensive, CMMi Level 5-rated offshore outsourcing services. This alliance will provide BFSI clients with the quality and cost benefits offered by Polaris' offshore centers, and the ability to drive measurable business results using both companies' in-depth business knowledge and CTG's onsite engagement management expertise.

Under the terms of the agreement, the alliance will provide outsourcing services and testing solutions to BFSI institutions. An established governance committee will manage all engagements, with ongoing oversight by an executive committee made up of the leadership of both firms.

Executive director of Polaris Software Govind Singhal said, "Together, we provide significant value to the BFSI market by leveraging CTG's domestic program management and delivery strengths and Polaris' offshore capabilities and industry expertise. For our clients, the CTG-Polaris alliance will also close the service gaps that many offshore outsourcing firms have in providing onsite support, and that traditional IT service providers have in meeting offshore price points and quality requirements of today's clients."
