Plustek unveils document scanner with ACE soln

NEW DELHI:Plustek Inc., a provider in imaging and communication products, today introduced Plustek SmartOffice PS286 bundled with ACE Office OMR Solution.

The scanner is targeted at the front office usage of the education vertical - primary / secondary and higher education, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), hospitals, law firms, CPA firms, BFSI, healthcare, government, hospitality industry, service centers etc., it is a highly versatile and affordable duplex color scanner in the sheet-fed range, said a press release.

With ACE OMR, the utility of the scanner becomes more compelling than before as the exchange of information becomes real fast. All ‘Multiple Choice Questions’ (MCQs) in the Objective Type examinations are primarily done for testing the conceptual strength of the students.

But the real problem arises when the teachers are made to check them and prepare the result in hard format as it requires the clerical job to be done repeatedly, the release added. With OMR, Plustek SmartOffice PS286 is capable of reading 25 pages per minute and reads both pen and pencil scripts also.

It could help the schools to print the OMR forms through simple black and white laser printer on normal paper as per their requirement.

ACE OMR costs much lower then the traditional OMR solutions. ACE OMR can be adjusted to the forms of the customers and changed as per the requirement of the user, the release added.
