Plustek bags Taiwan Excellence award

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Plustek, an imaging solutions provider, today announced that it has bagged two Taiwan Excellence Awards for its products – Optic Book A300, industry's first ever large format book scanner (A3 size, up to 12"x17") and Mobile Office D428, the lightweight and portable mobile scanner.

With a total of 561 products participating, Plustek owing to its extensive research and development (R&D) and technological innovation, is the proud winner of two awards, said a press release.

"At Plustek we always think of developing products that can really add value to customer experience. While developing new products, we keep a tab on not just user requirements, but their wishes as well,” said Karen Ku, vice president, Plustek Inc.

Plustek's Optic Book A300 is a large format (A3 size, up to 12"x17") stand-alone solution. Despite the size, it produces ultra-high scanning speed of 2.48 seconds at 300 dpi for A3 color scanning, the release claimed.

The model is equipped with one-touch customizable buttons and other software features for effective image processing and document management. It is an ideal solution for libraries, schools, graphic designers, publishing companies, hospitals, law firms and even the financial institutions, it added.

The Mobile Office D428, an A4 duplex mobile color scanner, is specially designed to convert all paper-based documents, plastic cards, and prescriptions into various digital formats.

It scans both the sides of a document in 2.2 seconds. For instant scanning, it uses the contact image sensor (CIS) module which does not require lamp warming, the release said.
