Plustek adds on to SmartOffice ADF scanner range

BANGALORE, INDIA: Plustek, an image solution provider, expands SmartOffice ADF scanners family with the announcement of SmartOffice PS286 Plus.

SmartOffice PS286 Plus can scan a variety of document till A3 size including plastic cards and business cards at an optimum resolution of 600 dpi.

Targeted at the front office usage of the SMEs, hospitals, law firms, CPA firms, BFSI, education, health care, government, hospitality industry, service centers etc., the SmartOffice PS286 Plus, is a versatile and affordable single pass duplex color scanner in the sheet-fed range.

Plustek's special protection sheet, A3-sized document can be easy scanned and generated side by side in a joined image. The user just needs to fold the A3 paper into A4 size and place it into the protection sheet to scan.

Select ADF duplex under scan type, automatic size as page size, and tick the check box of merge pages for scanning. Manually select horizontal or vertical as the merging mode, and the scanned output will be joined into an A3 size document in a single pass.

The user can put Plastic Cards for scanning them with ease. The business cards can be scanned 20 sheets at a time in portrait or landscape position. Plastic cards can be scanned one at a time in landscape position.

The scanner comes with pre-set three custom buttons for up, down and scan. For example, one can create searchable PDFs, scan to e-mail, scan to FTP, OCR, BCR, copy, or file documents by simply pressing a button. Thanks to features like DI Capture and DocAction softwares, it simplifies document capture.

Connected with USB 2.0, it takes a  duty cycle of 1500 sheets per day. With speed up to 50 images per minute this volume, sheet-fed scanner plays a critical role in your document management.

SmartOffice PS286 Plus comes with the latest Plustek software including Plustek DocAction,Plustek DI Capture, Abbyy FineReader Sprint Plus, Hotcard Bizcard Finder, NewSoft Presto! ImageFolio, NewSoft Presto! PageManager, etc.

These softwares enhance the capability of the scanner in many ways i.e. the Auto deskewing capability helps automatically straighten the skewed image after auto crop is done.

 

The auto size and auto crop feature can automatically identify the dimensions of the image and crop around the edges. Similarly, the Color Dropout function allows you to remove a color channel such as red, green or blue while scanning.

The inbuilt TWAIN driver enable the scanner to be compatible with many imaging software.
