The PHC program, involving an extensive validation study performed on the Dassault Systèmes V6 portfolio, aims at accelerating the introduction of a PLM 2.0 platform to better meet business needs and challenges on current and future EADS programs.

Dr. Jean Botti, chief technology officer, EADS, stated, “Our strategic goal is to improve the efficiency and performance of our engineering and manufacturing.  Dassault Systèmes is an EADS strategic partner for this purpose in the PLM domain.  With our new EADS corporate initiative, the PLM Harmonization Center, this will continue to foster innovative practices at EADS.”

The partnership includes the usage extension of the SIMULIA platform, Isight Fiper and Abaqus applications for critical simulations in key programs of EADS divisions, such as Airbus and Astrium, in order to accelerate complex architecture development and new concepts validation, adds a press release.

"We are extremely pleased to share with EADS the same vision of PLM 2.0. Our V6 open collaborative innovation platform is being adopted by a broad range of domains. Its online capabilities truly empower a best-in-class native and partner application portfolio, bringing a new level of efficiency, simplicity and agility never seen before," commented Bernard Charlès, president and chief executive officer, Dassault Systèmes.

“It is our decision to continue to improve the cooperation with Dassault Systèmes in order to increase our PLM capabilities,” said Jean-Yves Mondon, head of PHENIX and PHC at EADS.  “We believe that our related strategy, leveraging those new potentialities, will provide EADS with a real competitive advantage.”
