Pinnacle Systems enters India

NEW DELHI: Pinnacle Systems Asia has entered the Indian market by opening an

office in Delhi. The company, which provides video editing solutions, said that

its Indian operations are aimed at making these solutions easily available to

customers. It will launch a wide range of marketing activities in the country in

the last week of October and appoint distributors in major metros and upcountry

markets.

Catering to the explosive growth of Webcasting and digital media on the

Internet, the video market is expanding dramatically. Pinnacle Systems, which is

listed on the Nasdaq, designs, manufactures, markets and supports a range of

digital solutions that enables businesses and consumers to create, store,

distribute and view video programs. From consumer home videos and DVD authoring

to broadcast television and streaming media on the Internet, Pinnacle Systems

delivers solutions for consumers, business and broadcast applications.

Pinnacle systems plans to showcase its range of products at Broadcast India

to be held in Mumbai during this month. These include the DV500, VCD solutions

for the consumer market, and its PCTV range of tuner cards for PCs.
