Pervasive updates PSQL for Win 7 compatibility

AUSTIN, TEXAS: Pervasive Software Inc., a provider in embeddable data management and data integration software and in enabling next-generation analytics, today announced compatibility with Windows 7 through a release candidate update to its Pervasive PSQL software.

The release candidate, now available for download, would be updated to general availability when the company completes additional testing. The enhancements to Pervasive PSQL deliver a platform for next-generation technology with scalability from desktops to servers, for high performance, low TCO and reliability, said a press release.

“With the newest update to Pervasive PSQL v10, we continue our longstanding leadership in giving partners and customers extensive hardware, software and platform compatibility, for both legacy and emerging technologies,” said Gilbert Van Cutsem, general manager of Database Products at Pervasive.

He added, “We continue to work closely with Microsoft and other industry leaders to give our ISVs the confidence that their applications can rely on a robust, high-performance, cost-effective database that enables their customers to adopt technologies at whatever pace suits their business needs.”

Pervasive, also provides compatibility with Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista.

Also compatible with a range of operating systems and platforms (32- and 64-bit), Pervasive PSQL v10 provides usability and control for customers’ and partners’ critical database functions, said the release.

Pervasive PSQL ecosystem products Pervasive Data Exchange and Pervasive Backup Agent are available in updated versions compatible with Windows 7.
